JOB TITLE:
Laser Therapist / Aesthetic Laser Practitioner
JOB PURPOSE:
To deliver safe, effective, and evidence‑based laser and advanced skin treatments while maintaining
exceptional standards of client care, clinical documentation, and professional conduct. The Laser
Therapist will support the wider clinical team, uphold infection control standards, promote the
clinic’s services, and contribute to the smooth running and growth of the business.
Overview
Working under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Clinic Manager, you will provide
high‑quality laser and aesthetic treatments within a busy clinical environment. You will be
responsible for client assessment, treatment planning, delivering a wide range of laser and skin
procedures, and maintaining accurate clinical records.
You will foster strong client relationships, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain a
professional, organised, and safe treatment environment. You must demonstrate a commitment to
patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with all clinic policies, including infection control
and data protection.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of laser physics, skin anatomy, and treatment indications/
contraindications
- Ability to operate laser and aesthetic devices safely and confidently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
- High standard of professionalism and client care
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and adapt to new technologies
- Confidence in retailing skincare and recommending treatment plansQualifications
- Minimum Level 4 qualification - Level 3 with extensive experience and Core of knowledge will be considered.
- Experience delivering laser hair removal and advanced skin treatments
- Experience in a clinical, aesthetic, or dermatology setting preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Clinical environment with direct client contact
- Daily exposure to laser equipment, PPE, and potential contact with bodily fluids
- Standing/walking for prolonged periods
- Occasional lifting of equipment or stock
- Frequent typing, filing, and use of electronic health record systems

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Responsibilities
- Carry out laser and aesthetic treatments safely and effectively in accordance with training
and clinic protocols.
- Conduct thorough consultations, including medical history, skin assessments, patch tests,and informed consent.
- Select appropriate treatment parameters and ensure safe operation of all laser and aesthetic
devices.
- Maintain high‑quality, repeatable clinical photography for treatment records.
- Provide clear aftercare instructions and ongoing treatment guidance.
- Ensure treatment rooms are prepared, clean, and fully stocked before each client.
- Uphold strict infection control standards and follow all clinic policies.
- Report any adverse reactions, incidents, or equipment concerns to the Clinic manager
Client Care & Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional client care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and professionalism at all times.
- Build strong client relationships and support long‑term treatment planning.
- Promote clinic services, skincare products, and treatment packages ethically and confidently.
- Assist clients with bookings, enquiries, and general support when required.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete accurate, detailed, and timely clinical notes in the CRM system.
- Ensure all consultation, consent, and treatment forms are completed correctly.
- Support reception duties when needed, including answering calls and booking appointments.
- Monitor stock levels of consumables and report low stock promptly.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the clinic.
Team & Operational Responsibilities
- Participate in training, competency assessments, and ongoing CPD.
- Assist with clinical demonstrations and training sessions for staff or visitors.
- Provide feedback on improving clinical procedures, client experience, and clinic revenue.
- Maintain the highest standards of clinic presentation and professionalism.
- Carry out any reasonable duties requested by the Clinic Manager or Clinical Director.
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
