Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks including trimming, slicing, and packaging meat products to ensure quality standards are met
- Support the butchery team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries, checking stock levels, and rotating stock appropriately
- Contribute to overall kitchen operations by supporting other food prep activities as required
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or culinary environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Familiarity with butchery techniques or kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of meat products is highly desirable
- Experience working in a restaurant or food service setting will help you excel in this role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately are essential for success
