Job Summary

Duties
- Support children and young people with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs and goals
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathy
- Encourage participation in educational, social, and community activities to promote development
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and care activities using IT systems
- Assist with transportation needs by driving children to appointments or activities when required
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each individual
Requirements
- Must have previous experience working in an Ofsted children's home setting
- Valid driving license and ability to drive safely for transportation duties
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions for individual support needs
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Commitment to safeguarding principles and promoting a safe environment for all residents
