Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, both residential and commercial, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. The successful applicant will be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences regarding colour schemes and designs.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently.
- Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting and decorating is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
- Strong attention to detail with an artistic flair for colour selection and design.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
