Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef who can work alone and with others. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities

- Develop and implement innovative menus in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Manage food safety standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure efficient team performance
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor food presentation and ensure dishes meet the restaurant’s standards before serving
- Maintain cost control by managing waste, portion sizes, and labour efficiency
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Extensive food production and preparation expertise with a strong background in cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively, but also work alone
- Solid kitchen experience complemented by comprehensive culinary knowledge
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
