This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident making coffee, enjoys fast-paced service, and is comfortable working independently during quieter parts of the day. You’ll be one of the key people helping set the standards from the start.
The shop will have a strong focus on grab-and-go coffee, iced drinks, matcha, cold foams and seasonal drinks, so experience with these is a big plus.
What you’ll be doing:
- Making hot and iced coffees to a consistent standard
- Preparing matcha, iced drinks, cold foams and simple drink builds
- Serving customers quickly and warmly, especially during commuter rushes
- Opening the shop on some early shifts, including some 6am starts
- Working independently during certain shifts
- Keeping the shop clean, stocked and organised throughout the day
- Helping with basic prep, restocking, milk/fridge checks and cleaning routines
- Handling till/card payments and day-to-day shop tasks
What we’re looking for:
- Previous barista experience is required
- Experience in a fast-paced coffee shop, grab-and-go store or high-volume setup is preferred
- Confidence working alone when needed
- Good knowledge of iced drinks, matcha, cold foams or modern coffee shop drinks
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable with some early starts
- Friendly with customers, but able to keep pace when it gets busy
- Clean, organised and happy to follow systems
- Previous supervisor, shift lead or keyholder experience is a bonus
- Experience with superautomatic machines is a bonus, but not essential
Hours & Pay:
- Full-time preferred
- 35–40 hours per week
- £14.00–£15.50 per hour depending on experience
- Performance-based bonus / profit-share incentive
- Some 6am starts required, shared between the team
This would suit someone who wants more responsibility than a standard barista role, without stepping into a full café manager position straight away.
Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
Benefits:
Work Location: In person
