Reporting to: Metal Workshop Manager
Location: Ashford
Hours: 8am – 5.30pm, plus overtime (if required)
Overview of role
This is an opportunity for an experienced welder to join a well established and stable team. The role involves MIG welding of security fencing products, working from basic drawings to produce high quality products in line with Jacksons Fencing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding in a production and bench environment
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings
- Ensure all work meets required quality standards
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and systems
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with housekeeping standards
- Work flexibly across different areas of the manufacturing department as required
What we are looking for
- At least 2 years of experience of MIG production welding
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
