Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Whisky, Gold, and Art Broker to join our specialised trading team. The successful candidate will act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers within the luxury and investment markets, facilitating transactions with professionalism and expertise. Duties
- Facilitate the buying and selling of whisky, gold, and art assets by connecting clients and investors.
- Conduct market research to identify potential buyers and sellers, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of market trends.
- Utilise Bloomberg terminals to analyse market data, track asset prices, and inform trading decisions.
- Negotiate terms of transactions to secure favourable deals for clients while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, collectors, galleries, and financial institutions.
- Prepare detailed documentation for transactions, including valuations, certificates of authenticity, and legal paperwork.
- Monitor the performance of assets post-sale to support client portfolios and future trading opportunities.
- Attend industry events, auctions, and exhibitions to expand professional networks and stay informed on market developments.
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong interest in financial services or commodities trading.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal operations or willingness to learn quickly.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a professional demeanour.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in handling high-value transactions.
- Ability to analyse market data critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in British English.
- A proactive approach with a passion for luxury assets such as whisky, gold, or art collections.
- Prior experience in the luxury goods or investment sectors is advantageous but not essential.
