About the Role
We are looking for kind, compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our established team based in Colchester.
This is an opportunity to work flexibly across a range of our services, supporting different people in their own homes and within the community.
Our services are based across Colchester, Ipswich, Mersea, Harwich and surrounding areas, so you must be comfortable travelling to different locations.
This role is ideal for you if you:
- Have good availability across different days and times
- Are happy travelling to different locations
- Enhanced DBS check
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Have access to your own vehicle
- Have appropriate business-use motor insurance
- Are reliable, flexible and adaptable
- Enjoy supporting different people and making a genuine difference
A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and appropriate business-use motor insurance are essential.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will vary depending on the service and person you are supporting and may include:
- Supporting people in their own homes and the community
- Personal care and mobility, where required
- Supporting daily routines, appointments and activities
- Meal preparation and light household tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting hobbies, social activities and community outings
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns
You may support people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, visual impairments and mobility needs.
Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
