The White Hart is a traditional British pub near Heathrow, serving freshly prepared food, quality beers and a warm, friendly welcome. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
This role is perfect for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career. You may already be working as a Sous Chef, or you could be an experienced Chef de Partie looking for the opportunity to step up into a Sous Chef position. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cooking fresh food, eager to learn, and confident in their ability to manage the kitchen independently when required.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Managing the kitchen independently in the Head Chef's absence.
- Preparing and cooking fresh food to a consistently high standard.
- Helping to develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, food safety and cleanliness.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the kitchen team.
- Ensuring every dish leaving the kitchen reflects the quality and standards of the White Hart.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a busy fresh food kitchen.
- Is ready to step into a Sous Chef role or already has Sous Chef experience.
- Can confidently manage a kitchen and lead a service independently.
- Is passionate about cooking with fresh ingredients.
- Enjoys learning, developing new skills and being creative.
- Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a close-knit team.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
