Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to support the cleanliness and organisation in our Care Home. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both domestic and commercial cleaning settings, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and hygienic atmosphere for residents and guests alike.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in communal areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing garments.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages to management.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide support during special events or deep cleaning initiatives as required.
- Communicate effectively with residents or clients to understand their specific cleaning needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in domestic or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hospital cleaning standards is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in various environments.
