Lime Tree House is a privately-run care home looking for someone with a genuine interest in working within a caring environment to become a Full-time Healthcare Assistant for the night shift. There is currently one role available.

Job Description:
- To carry out regular checks on service users at intervals determined by the Manager and with due regard for service user’s privacy and dignity
- To report promptly to call bells and assist service users in an empathetic manner.
- To support the day-time routines by ironing bed sheets, charging hoists and weighing chairs and emptying commodes etc.
- To support colleagues by completing any laundry left by a previous shift
- To serve snacks and drinks, prepare light meals outside regular hours and support service users to eat and drink, who need help and to monitor intake, wash up used crockery and utensils.
- To care for service users who are unwell and are needing extra help, as well as caring for service users who are dying, treating them with the utmost respect and empathy.
- To assist in cleaning the Home to support infection control, e.g. cleaning spills immediately
- To carry out regular checks on the building at intervals determined by the Manager with special preference to fire prevention and security.
- To check and restock supplies such as incontinence aids, wipes and gloves etc.
- To read and write reports where it is the homes policy for carers to do this.
- To complete necessary charts and forms in order to share information about the care and support you have given them.
- To report any concerns regarding possible abuse of service users immediately to the person in charge.
- To report to the home manager or person in charge any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service user, respecting the rights of the service user.
Essentials:
- To encourage service users to remain as independent as possible and their dignity and respect are maintained
- To adhere to the policy relating to personal appearance and the uniform policy whilst on duty
- To have a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check and Adult First
- To work within the scope of the Data Protection Act 1998 and adhere to all Data Protection Legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
- To respect the confidentiality of the service users and the home life at all times, including when you are using social networking systems.
- To work at all times within the guidelines and policies of the home including the Health & Safety At Work Act 1974, Employee Handbook, Company Policy and Procedure for Infection Control and Company Health and Safety Policy and Procedure, to be aware of all fire exit means of escape from the Home
- To ensure readiness to commence work at the time stated on the Duty Rota and not to abandon duty without permission from the Home Manager.
- To undertake any training necessary for the completion of your duties. To be aware of Mandatory training and dates to attend training
Hourly Rate:
- Week Rates: £13.15+ Depending on experience.
