At Fans & Blowers, we manufacture high-quality industrial air-handling equipment. We are a fast-growing company with a busy order book, but we pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, relaxed, and supportive workshop environment.
We are expanding our production team and looking for two hands-on individuals to join us as Mechanical Fitters. If you have a basic mechanical background, enjoy working with your hands, and want a role where you can truly grow your skills, we want to hear from you!
What the Role Looks Like:
Working alongside our experienced team, you will be involved in building industrial fans and blowers from the ground up. This includes:
- Assembling structural components, casings, and rotating equipment.
- Using hand and power tools to fit bearings, shafts, and impellers.
- Reading basic engineering drawings and assembly guides (we will train you on this!).
- Ensuring all finished products meet our quality standards before they leave the factory.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
What We Are Looking For:
Because we have a great team of experienced engineers ready to mentor you, we are highly flexible on how much experience you bring to the table. We care more about your attitude and willingness to learn. Ideally, you will have:
- Some experience in a mechanical assembly, workshop, garage, or manufacturing environment (1+ years is ideal, but hobbyist/practical experience counts!).
- Comfort using standard hand and power tools.
- A proactive, reliable attitude, someone who turns up ready to get stuck in.
- Ability to commute reliably to our site in Highbridge (Free parking available on-site).
