Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Rendering Specialist. This role involves applying specialised finishes to various surfaces, contributing to the aesthetic and protective qualities of building exteriors and interiors. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of rendering materials.
- Mix and apply rendering compounds using hand tools, trowels, and specialised equipment to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Utilise power tools such as drills, mixers, and saws to facilitate efficient application processes.
- Work alongside bricklayers, masons, and carpenters to ensure seamless integration of rendering with other construction elements.
- Assist with the installation of insulation or weatherproofing materials as required before rendering application.
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and ensuring tools are stored safely after use.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations throughout all stages of work, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and hammers for precise application work.
- Experience with bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is highly desirable to support comprehensive construction tasks.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in a busy construction environment.
- Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques for rendering applications.
- Good organisational skills with an organised approach to managing tools and materials on-site.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in outdoor or indoor settings.
