CLS, Contract Labour Solutions are seeking experienced, compassionate, and resilient 1-to-1 Care Assistants to provide dedicated support to residents with complex needs within care homes across South Yorkshire who have a minimum of 6 months paid experience within the UK.
This is a rewarding role that requires someone who can build trusting relationships, remain calm under pressure, and provide consistent, person-centred care. The successful candidates will have proven experience supporting individuals who display behaviours that may challenge and will understand the importance of recognising triggers, using positive behaviour support approaches, and promoting the resident's dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one, person-centred care in line with the resident's individual care plan.
- Support and manage behaviours that may challenge using positive, proactive, and least restrictive approaches.
- Build a trusting relationship through patience, empathy, and consistency.
- Plan and deliver meaningful activities that reflect the resident's interests, preferences, and abilities, encouraging engagement and enhancing their quality of life.
- Support with personal care, nutrition, hydration, mobility, and daily living activities where required.
- Observe, recognise, and accurately report changes in behaviour, mood, health, or wellbeing.
- Maintain exceptional daily records, ensuring all documentation is detailed, objective, accurate, and completed in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with the wider multidisciplinary team, ensuring continuity of care and contributing to ongoing care planning.
- Follow safeguarding, infection prevention, and health and safety policies at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge within a care, mental health, learning disability, or dementia setting.
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
- A proactive and engaging approach, with the ability to create meaningful interactions and activities tailored to the individual.
- Outstanding written communication skills and a strong understanding of the importance of accurate, detailed record keeping.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach, even in challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (desirable, but not essential).
Requirements: Candidates will need to demonstrate they have the following to register with us.
- Passport or Birth Certificate
- Proof of National Insurance Number
- Share code (if applicable)
- DBS - Preferably on the update service
- Full mandatory training - This will be discussed on the phone.
- References (2 minimum)
