Andrew Cane Refrigeration & Air conditioning are based in Newton Abbot covering Devon and Cornwall. We are currently looking for a new employee to assist in the servicing, installation and maintenance of all aspects of the commercial sector. This will include installation of cold rooms, refrigeration equipment and air conditioning, routine servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and preventive maintenance activities. Experience in fault finding of bespoke projects would be beneficial but not essential.
Job Requirements
- Must possess the relevant technical knowledge of systems above including refrigeration, air conditioning, cold rooms, general equipment and basic electrical wiring knowledge.
- Possesses the technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skill set and grade. Safe handling of refrigerant in accordance with the 2079 Refrigerant handling, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning.
- Working under own initiative direct to the client.
- Communicating information between engineers efficiently.
- Efficient repair of equipment breakdowns.
- Updating service records, F-gas logs and servicing clients equipment.
- Commissioning of new and reconditioned equipment.
- Working using safe systems of work. Eg. MEWPS, scaffolding.
- Full UK driving Licence,
Working hours
- 40hrs Basic week + occasional overtime subject to busy periods - Occasional on call to cover holidays.
Location
- Mobile - within Devon and Cornwall.
Vehicle entitlement
- A company vehicle will be provided as appropriate to the role.
- Vehicle will be equipped with specialised tooling.
Salary – Starting salary of £38K dependent on experience.
The position is subject to a 3 month probationary period.
