Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food production, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
- Supervise junior kitchen staff when required, providing guidance and support to maintain smooth operations
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Contribute ideas for menu development and continuous improvement of kitchen processes
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting
- Demonstrable skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Supervising or team management experience is advantageous but not essential; leadership qualities are valued
- Knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines preferred
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and serving procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service through high-quality food presentation and taste
