Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor
Description of role: Yourgene Health is seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual with the skills and experience to assembly and manufacture the company’s diagnostic assay components and product consumables. Our assembly lines consist of several pieces of manual dispense and automation equipment, which the successful candidate will learn to operate independently as well as a wet chemistry bench.
Overall responsibility: To manufacture a variety of kit components to demanding quality specifications.
Key areas of responsibility:

Develop skill and dexterity on the manufacture and QC of our product offerings

Show ability to deliver great quality work with good efficiency

Operate and maintain essential equipment to a high standard to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and recommendations governing safety, health and environmental standards

Dispensing of liquids using semi-automated equipment
-
Packing and labelling of reagents into kit form
-
Maintaining of inventory with the lab environment

Completion of batch records to business standard

Completion of work orders using an electronic MRP system
Consults with:
-
Yourgene Health Canada R&D and UK Operations Teams
-
Other Yourgene Health functions (e.g. Quality/Regulatory, Culture & Performance, Admin)
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: None
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
-
At least 3 years’ experience in a manual /semi-automated assembly environment or a degree in a bio-sciences or chemistry subject

Strong pipetting skills

Familiarity with good practices for working in a clean and air-conditioned setting

Demonstrated ability to learn to work with new equipment
-
Commitment to producing outstanding quality while working independently, maintain focus and attention to detail

Experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment

Excellent planning and organizational skills with an attention to detail

Experience with Quality Management Systems and GMP
-
Experience in a regulated environment
