Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant culinary team! Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily food preparation and cooking activities to maintain high standards of quality and presentation
- Support the training and mentoring of kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Oversee food production processes, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow and exceptional guest experiences
- Lead by example in demonstrating hospitality, leadership, and a strong work ethic during all shifts
- Be prepared to be flexible with regard to weekend and evening working, especially in the Summer months and at busy public holidays, and willingness to work between our 2 sites in the Blackburn area is essential to enable holiday/sickness cover etc.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Golf Club etiquette understanding would be a distinct advantage.
- Extensive culinary experience with a solid understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience preferred, especially in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and food production standards
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams
- Experience in serving or barista roles is a plus, showcasing versatility in hospitality skills
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to drive with a clean driving licence and/ or access to a car would be preferable.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
