Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various property systems and infrastructure, ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance, as well as supervisory experience. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and structural elements.
- Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure efficient system functioning.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs.
- Carry out welding tasks using appropriate techniques and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Assist with project planning for property upgrades or renovations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to building systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams.
- Experience with welding techniques and metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
- Maintenance skills across various trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Leadership experience in supervising or managing maintenance teams or projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to handle tenant or client interactions professionally.
- Organised with strong problem-solving abilities to prioritise tasks effectively.
