Warwick Sport is looking for swimming teachers to teach our Learn 2 Swim programme — a thriving, 7-day operation that teaches children aged 3–14, teenagers, and adults to swim with confidence. Alongside our core lessons, you'll have the opportunity to teach crash courses, adult lessons, and 1-1 lessons, making sure every swimmer in your sessions is progressing, supported, and enjoying the water.
Please note we have opportunities available from 18 - 33 hours per week
You'll be on poolside delivering high-quality lessons and will lead lessons both with and without an assistant. There will be opportunities to strengthen and develop your knowledge and skills as well as mentoring other teachers and the assistant teachers and play a key part in their development.
What you'll be doing
- Planning and delivering swimming lessons aligned with the Swim England National Plan, for swimmers of all ages and abilities
- Overseeing the structure, attainment, and progress of swimmers in your sessions
- Tracking progress, and liaising with parents on everything from development milestones to individual support and SEND conversations
- Helping with set-up and pack-down, and contributing to a safe pool environment alongside the wider Operations team
- Attending staff training roughly every two months, and attending your own regular training from the aquatics team
- Ensure compliance to existing GDPR policy and procedure designed to ensure security of data held on users.
- Promote the use of the parental access (Home Portal) with all parents/ guardians.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- A full UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Qualification (STA or Swim England)
- NPLQ or NARATSC qualification or willingness to train for this
- Experience working with children in a learning environment
- Experience working as part of a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- An understanding of equality and diversity
- Punctual and able to work using own initiative
- Confidence using tablet-based assessment technology
- Knowledge of safeguarding and the Swim England assessment criteria
- An understanding of equality and diversity
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to use your own initiative
Desirable:
- Additional CPD (Coaching Swimming, Water Polo, Ducklings, Adult and Child, etc.)
- Experience teaching swimmers with additional needs
- Experience in a busy leisure environment, or leading children's physical activity / Learn to Swim programmes
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment

Pay: £26,707.00-£30,378.00 per year
