Are you a confident driver with a knack for customer service and a strong team ethic? Willen Hospice is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative & Driver to support our vital retail and distribution operations.

What you’ll do:
✅ Drive a Hospice vehicle on planned routes to collect donated furniture and deliver sold items from our shops.
✅ Act as an ambassador for Willen Hospice, offering excellent customer service to donors, customers, and volunteers.
✅ Ensure all items are safely handled, loaded, and transported, protecting goods and customer property.
✅ Assess suitability of donated items for resale based on condition, value, and fire safety.
✅ Support the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Centre, including warehouse tasks and keeping the space clean and organised.
✅ Carry out vehicle checks, maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle, and follow weekly maintenance procedures.
What you’ll need:
Full UK driving licence and experience driving vans (essential).
Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy and bulky furniture safely using appropriate equipment.
Excellent communication skills, a polite and tactful manner, and the ability to build positive relationships.
A team player with a strong work ethic who can also use their initiative when out on the road.
Experience in a warehouse or delivery environment is desirable, but not essential – we’ll provide full training.
