BES Steel Buildings are recruiting experienced industrial cladding and protective coatings operatives for a major industrial refurbishment programme across two industrial estates in the Blaenau Gwent area.
The project consists of refurbishment works to over two dozen occupied industrial units, including:
- Industrial overclad works
- Re-cladding works
- Roof and wall protective coating systems
- Giromax roof, wall and gutter coating applications
- Industrial gutter replacement works
- Trimline steel gutter installations
- Cut edge corrosion treatment
- Roof and wall preparation works
- Jet washing and surface preparation
- Sheet metal preparation and repairs
Operatives will be involved in the preparation and application of industrial coating systems using:
- 3,300 PSI airless spray systems
- Roller application
- Brush application
The role will also involve:
- Working from scaffolding
- MEWP and scissor lift operation
- Coordinated use of hand tools and access equipment
- Working safely within live industrial environments
Health & Safety
Health and safety is absolutely paramount on these projects.
Applicants must understand:
- PPE requirements
- Working at height procedures
- Safe use of access equipment
- Industrial site safety standards
- Following company RAMS and working procedures
Preferred Experience & Tickets
Preferred:
- IPAF 3A / 3B
- CSCS Card
- Experience in industrial cladding/coatings
- Experience using airless spray equipment
- Commercial roofing or refurbishment background
Duration & Opportunities
Each industrial estate is expected to require a dedicated team of approximately four operatives for around four weeks.
Total initial programme:
Approximately 8 weeks of continuous work

Pay: £18.00-£26.00 per hour
