Permanent, subject to successful completion of probation.
Hours of work: Part Time (21hrs per week) Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.
MIS Legal Services Ltd is the legal arm of MIS Group. For over 30 years the group has been who drivers call when something goes wrong. An accident, a breakdown, a claim that needs sorting. Our legal team acts for claimants in road traffic accident claims. We're looking for a Paralegal to join us in Dundonald and help move those claims forward. If you've got legal experience, or you've handled motor claims, and you're accurate, organised and good with people at a difficult moment, we'd like to hear from you!
Job Description
For most clients, you'll be the voice of the firm. They've had the accident, they've reported it, and now they want to know what happens next. Your job is to answer that, keep the file moving and make sure nobody is left waiting
Key responsibilities include:
- Take initial instructions from clients and open files on the case management system
- Progress claims in line with our procedures and legislation
- Prepare and review case files, witness statements and medical evidence under solicitor supervision
- Keep in contact with clients, insurers and third parties
- Deal with medical professionals and chase reports
- Maintain accurate file records and diary entries
- Make sure everything is done in line with our regulatory obligations

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience in an administrative or client-facing role
- A track record of dealing with customers or clients directly, including when they're upset or under pressure
- Strong written communication, clear & accurate correspondence
- Genuine attention to detail and comfortable working to defined procedures
- Confident using case management systems and standard office software
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in a legal, insurance or claims environment
- Experience of claimant personal injury work
- Experience of credit hire and repair claims
