We are seeking a talented and experienced Special Nepalese Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic Nepalese dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain efficiency and consistency
- Manage food safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene practices
- Assist in menu planning and development to introduce new Nepalese culinary offerings
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment, adhering to organisational policies
- Serve dishes to customers when required, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Lead by example in hospitality service, fostering a positive team atmosphere
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, preferably in Nepalese or Asian cuisine
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing kitchen teams in busy restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to Nepalese cuisine and general hospitality practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with familiarity in serving customers and managing food service operations
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
