Duties
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for all transactions
- Assist customers with purchases, returns, and exchanges in a courteous manner
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is correctly displayed for easy access
- Upsell products by recommending relevant items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Handle multilingual interactions, including bilingual communication in English and Spanish, to serve a diverse clientele
- Manage cash, credit card, and mobile payment processes with precision and attention to detail
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and ensuring product availability at the till point
- Practice effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to keep checkout areas tidy and efficient
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours to minimize wait times
