Berkhampstead Day Nursery (Pittville and Charlton Kings) is seeking to appoint a cleaner for Pittville Circus Day Nursery.
The Day Nursery Cleaner’s principal responsibilities include:
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across all Day Nursery areas, including classrooms, communal spaces, toilets, and offices.
- Work collaboratively with the estates team to respond to cleaning needs and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Support a safe and healthy environment for pupils, staff, and visitors by following cleaning protocols and health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the Day Nursery by ensuring cleanliness before, during, and after Day Nursery events.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across the Day Nursery premises:
- Clean and sanitise all areas as per daily/weekly cleaning schedules.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, clean, and polish surfaces and floors in accordance with cleaning schedules.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, hand towels, and toilet paper.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically.
Key holder responsibilities
15 hours a week (all-year round), Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 9:00am
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 1 wellbeing day and additional holiday for length of service.
Salary range £10,226 - £10,538 per annum
