Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate care team. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care to clients, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans.
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure consistent, high standards of care delivery.
- Monitoring of Quality Assurance via monitoring and checks.
- Lead the development and review of individual care plans, ensuring they meet residents’ changing needs and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care and address concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incident reports, and resident progress using IT systems designed for care management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and infection control procedures at all times.
- Support the supervision of driving responsibilities for clients or staff when necessary to facilitate appointments or outings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in home care or senior care environment with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff members and lead a team with confidence and professionalism.
- Knowledge of care plans development and adherence to regulatory standards within senior care settings.
- IT literacy skills for maintaining accurate records and using electronic care management systems.
- Valid driving license required to ensure checks are carried out efficiently, for supporting transportation needs within the role.
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
