Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Carer to join our team, committed to delivering exceptional care and support in service users homes. As a vital member of our care community, you will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Your expertise and experience will ensure that each service user receives person-centred, respectful, and comprehensive care in a safe environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference. You will be a senior member of the team supporting the service registered manager to uphold care delivery performance standards and planning of efficient and outcome driven service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care to service users in their own homes, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Prompt medications accurately according to prescribed care plans while maintaining detailed documentation.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans that address individual needs, preferences, and health conditions.
- Support service users with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
- Support the Registered Manager through staff performance review and planning and implementation of care plans.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including heavy lifting techniques and infection control measures.
- Support care service delivery to foster service user independence and social interaction in home care settings.
- Document all aspects of service user care accurately, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Support Registered Manager to ensure service policies and procedures are adhered to and kept current.
Skills
- Proven experience in care at home service delivery and administration.
- Excellent caregiving skills with the ability to handle manual lifting safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Strong understanding of care plans, and person-centred care essentials.
- Ability to communicate effectively with service users, their families, and healthcare teams while demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Valid driving license and own car preferred.
- Understanding and practical application of modern IT systems within a care environment.

Pay: £14.50-£17.50 per hour
