What You’ll Be Doing:
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Financial & Operational Performance
- Drive branch profitability by meeting and exceeding agreed KPIs, Gross Profit (GP) sales, and Net Profit targets.
- Leverage Intact reporting systems daily to monitor branch transactions, including low-margin, price override, and order monitor reports.
- Audit and track quotations rigorously to ensure consistent follow-through and maximized conversion rates.
- Manage inventory levels in line with company "stock days" requirements, coordinating with suppliers to ensure optimal product availability and service.
- Oversee administrative functions to ensure operational accuracy and compliance across all branch activities.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and motivate branch staff to drive sales, improve performance, and uphold company purchasing directives.
- Collaborate with HR and Senior Management to support the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring future staffing requirements are met.
- Conduct performance management by identifying training requirements, mentoring staff, and fostering a high-achievement culture.
- Ensure optimal customer service delivery by monitoring staff interactions and continually refining service standards.
Sales & Relationship Management
- Cultivate strategic customer relationships and participate in hospitality events to maximize long-term loyalty and sales opportunities.
- Partner with Area Sales Representatives through monthly strategic meetings to retain existing business and generate new leads.
- Conduct regular external client reviews with key accounts to address feedback and ensure peak service performance.
- Execute marketing campaigns and promotions effectively to capture maximum market share and branch visibility.
Communication & Collaboration
- Facilitate seamless communication between Head Office and the branch network to maintain consistency and share best practices.
- Collaborate with the Operations Department to align logistical requirements with customer service goals.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and efficiently, escalating complex issues when necessary to maintain brand reputation.
- Participate in senior-level meetings, ensuring thorough preparation and active contribution to company-wide objectives
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role (ideally in plumbing & heating, building supplies, or a similar trade environment)
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on sales and margin
- Great communication skills and a hands-on leadership style
- A proactive, customer-first attitude
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Intact IQ or similar business systems
- Product knowledge in plumbing and heating

Working Hours: 7.30am to 17.00pm Monday to Friday plus 08.00am to 12.00pm alternate Saturdays.
