Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and caring Day Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will support the daily activities of our residents, ensuring they receive engaging, respectful care that promotes their well-being and happiness. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help create a positive atmosphere where residents feel valued and supported.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care and mobility support
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs
- Maintain accurate care plans and document any changes in residents’ conditions
- Support communication between residents, families, and the care team to ensure everyone is informed
- Support with home care tasks such as medication reminders or light household duties when needed
- Drive residents safely to appointments or outings using company vehicles when required
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to use basic IT systems for record keeping and updating care plans
- Valid driving license is preferred for transporting residents or running errands
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
- We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Carer to join our residential elderly care home, supporting older adults with personal care, daily living, and meaningful engagement. Pay: From £13.00 per hour
