he Depot Cleaning Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating depot and fleet cleaning at their site, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are met. This position involves managing a team and driving forward best-in-class cleaning standards.
Hours: 39 hours per week, night shifts
Location: Crawley
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a bus cleaning team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance monitoring
- Conduct regular meetings with colleagues to communicate goals, cleaning protocols and best practices
- Maintain cleaning schedules for the fleet and depot, ensuring timely and efficient cleaning operations
- Ensure the fleet is cleaned to company standards, including interior sanitation, exterior washing and detail work
- Assist in developing and managing the bus cleaning budget, including forecasting needs for labour, materials and equipment
- Act as the primary point of contact for cleaning-related inquiries at the location and for any issues within the bus operations team
- Promote a culture of safety and excellence among cleaning colleagues
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on the status of vehicle and depot cleanliness, staff performance and adherence to cleaning standards
You will need:
- At least 2 years' experience in cleaning or management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work autonomously
- Knowledge of vehicle cleaning methods, products and equipment
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to vehicle maintenance
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
