FABS Domiciliary Homecare Ltd is seeking an organised, compassionate and proactive care coordinator to join our expanding domiciliary care service in Southampton.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating care, supporting staff and ensuring excellent outcomes for service users.
About the Role
As care coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating care services, supporting care staff and ensuring service users receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and managing staff rotas using electronic rostering systems.
- Allocating care visits efficiently to meet service users' needs.
- Liaising with service users, families, care staff and healthcare professionals.
- Responding to changes in care needs and managing emergency cover.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and induction of new Care Workers.
- Monitoring attendance, punctuality and staff availability.
- Maintaining accurate care records and compliance documentation.
- Supporting quality assurance, spot checks and care reviews.
- Assisting the registered manager with day-to-day operations.
- Participating in the on-call rota (where applicable).
What We're Looking For: Essential
- Previous experience in domiciliary care.
- Experience coordinating care staff or managing rotas.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Good IT skills and experience using care management software.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Flexibility to support the operational needs of the service.
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or above).
- Experience with electronic rostering systems.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and safeguarding.
