Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full time Farm Shop Assistant. As a key member of our farm shop, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, providing excellent customer service, and promoting the overall success of our farm shop. This position involves a combination of customer interaction, merchandising, and general support to maintain a well-organized and welcoming shopping environment. Hours available for this position may vary between 36-45 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Provide information about products, promotions, and farm activities.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Product Display and Merchandising:
Arrange and organize products on shelves and displays.
Monitor and replenish stock to ensure a well-stocked and visually appealing shop.
Barista Work:
Operate the coffee machine and other equipment.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area.
Monitor and replenish coffee supplies and related items.
Cash Handling:
Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
Provide correct change and issue receipts.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep the farm shop clean and organized.
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
Monitor and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other farm shop staff to achieve common goals.
Assist with team tasks and projects as needed.
Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment.
Working Conditions:
This position involves standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying moderately heavy loads
