Job Purpose
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Female Driver to join our Home Care team on a bank staff basis. The successful candidate will provide safe transportation and support to clients in their own homes, assisting with daily living activities and helping individuals maintain their independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to clients’ homes to provide care and support services.
- Assist clients with personal care where required, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with meal preparation, medication prompts, and light household tasks.
- Accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, and community activities.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation using your own vehicle or a company vehicle, where applicable.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns to the management team.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies and procedures.
- Promote dignity, privacy, choice, and independence at all times.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance for work use.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring, compassionate, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, healthcare, or support work.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care practices.
