About the Role
AK Frames is looking for reliable, hardworking and committed Production and Packaging Operators to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Kirkcaldy premises.
This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment. The successful candidates will assist with the production, assembly, quality checking and packaging of picture frames and related products.
We are looking for people who take their work seriously, attend consistently, follow instructions carefully and maintain a good standard of productivity and quality throughout their shift.
Main Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with the production and assembly of picture frames
- Preparing frame components, backing boards, Perspex and other materials
- Packaging finished products safely and securely
- Applying protective materials, shrink wrap and packaging labels
- Checking products for damage, defects or incorrect measurements
- Making sure orders contain the correct products and quantities
- Preparing completed orders for courier collection and dispatch
- Operating production or packaging equipment after receiving training
- Keeping your workstation clean, organised and safe
- Moving materials, boxes and finished products around the production area
- Following all company procedures and health and safety instructions
- Meeting daily production and packaging targets
- Reporting damaged products, machinery issues or stock shortages to a supervisor
- Assisting with other warehouse and production duties when required

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, assembly or warehouse work would be helpful, but it is not essential because training will be provided.
Physical Requirements
The role involves:
- Standing for most of the working day
- Repetitive production and packaging tasks
- Regular handling of boxes, frames and packaging materials
- Lifting and moving items safely within reasonable workplace limits
- Working in an active manufacturing and warehouse environment

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
