We are delighted to offer a vacancy for the role of Thrive Practitioner. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly and growing team. Located on a beautiful farm setting, New Pastures offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a nurturing environment with a team of staff that have student outcomes as our priority. Our multisensory, therapeutic setting enable students to feel safe and access learning through meaningful learning opportunities. The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the Thrive provision, ensuring students receive high-quality, developmentally informed support. You'll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Pastoral Lead, teaching and support staff to embed the Thrive Approach across the whole provision.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering 1:1, small-group and whole-class Thrive sessions
Completing Thrive Online assessments and creating action plans
Supporting students with emotional regulation and social development, modelling Thrive, PACE, Emotional Coaching and restorative practices
Providing therapeutic interventions Coaching and guiding staff to embed Thrive-aligned strategies across the whole provision
Ensuring that the safeguarding of our students
Contribute to reports and annual reviews
Any other duties that the senior management team see fit within your role.
The post holder will join our Pastoral team in delivering a Thrive curriculum and carrying out wellbeing check ins with our students, to support their mental health and wellbeing. You will work closely with students, families and colleagues with warmth, expertise and care. You will play an integral role in ensuring that every young person receives the support, encouragement and tailored strategies they need to flourish.
Person Specification
We would like to welcome someone who is passionate about supporting young people in a nurturing environment and has experience working with young people with an EHCP. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, fun and engaging and eager to create a safe and engaging environment. The post holder must be creative, an excellent communicator, compassionate and driven to help young people to meet their individual targets. Having a good sense of humour is essential. Vast experience working with young people with a primary need of anxiety and knowledge of autism and ADHD is essential.
