Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bathroom and Kitchen Fitter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and renovating bathrooms and kitchens in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within specified deadlines. Duties
- Installing bathroom suites, including baths, showers, sinks, toilets, and associated plumbing fixtures
- Fitting kitchen units, worktops, appliances, and cabinetry with precision
- Conducting plumbing tasks such as pipework installation and repairs
- Using hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and fixing materials
- Applying plastering techniques for wall preparation and finishing surfaces
- Fabricating customised components as required for specific installations
- Performing masonry work where necessary for structural support or aesthetic purposes
- Reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate fitting
- Ensuring all installations adhere to safety standards and building regulations
- Assisting with construction painting and finishing touches to complete projects efficiently
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry or masonry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools in construction settings
- Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings relevant to bathroom and kitchen fitting projects
- Experience with fabrication techniques for customised fittings or components
- Construction experience across various trades is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality
