Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are understood and met efficiently. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing vehicle repairs, and promoting additional services through upselling. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and establish rapport to understand their vehicle concerns and service requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and service options
- Prepare detailed work orders, including estimates for repairs and maintenance services
- Upsell additional services or products that meet the customer's needs while enhancing their experience
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and sales activities
- Keep the reception area organised and presentable, reflecting a professional image
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within the automotive or related industry is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle systems is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritising customer needs
- Cash handling experience with attention to accuracy and security
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- A professional attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or similar role is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Pay: £25,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
