We’re opening a brand-new 4-bed children’s home in Southend and are looking for an experienced, values-driven Responsible Individual to oversee the home, guide the Registered Manager, and ensure we meet the highest standards from registration through to inspection.

The role
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership for the home
- Lead Ofsted registration and ensure full regulatory compliance
- Support and supervise the Registered Manager to deliver Outstanding care
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance
- Review and sign off Reg 45 reports and internal audits
- Build strong relationships with Ofsted, commissioners and local authorities
- Drive improvement, culture, systems and best practice
- Ensure the home remains safe, compliant and inspection-ready
What you’ll need
- Experience as an RI or a senior Registered Manager ready to step up
- Strong knowledge of the Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted framework
- Excellent safeguarding leadership
- Confident communicator able to challenge, support and hold others to account
- A values-led approach and commitment to delivering Outstanding outcomes
