Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Groundworker/Hard Landscaper with a valid HGV Class 2 license to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse landscaping and groundwork projects, contributing to high-quality outdoor spaces and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring energy, precision, and a proactive attitude to every task, ensuring safety and excellence in all aspects of the job.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing sites for landscaping and construction projects, including excavation, leveling, and groundwork preparation.
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely to transport materials, tools, and equipment to various sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as digging, setting foundations, laying paving, or installing features.
- Support with the installation of hard landscaping elements such as fencing, patios, walls, and pathways.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Assist with site cleanup and material handling to keep the work area organized and safe.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in groundworks or hard landscaping projects using all resurfacing materials including tarmac, resin and paving.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant construction or landscaping certifications are a plus but not essential.
- Vaild NRSWA Streetworks qualification is desirable.
