We’re looking for caring, reliable people to join our friendly team at NEDCare, supporting people across North East Dartmoor to stay independent and live well in their own homes.
If you’re travelling from Exeter, we’ll help with the cost of getting to us. We reimburse commuting mileage at 45p per mile for mileage over 10 miles, so you can spend less time worrying about the cost of your journey and more time enjoying a truly rewarding job in a beautiful part of Devon.

If you've worked in retail, hospitality, childcare, customer service or another people-focused role, you may already have many of the skills you need to become a great carer.
Main Responsibilities:
The overall purpose of the role is to provide a high quality and person centred service that responds to the needs and preferences of the client, enhances their quality of life and promoted independence. Duties may include:
- Supporting individuals with their personal care routines
- Assisting with practical household tasks
- Helping clients to access their community
- Providing conversation, companionship and social and emotional support
- Assisting with medication, e.g. via prompts and reminders
Every person is different, so every day is different. You'll get to know the people you support and build relationships that make a real difference.
What we're looking for:
- Empathetic, compassionate and caring
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Positive and willing to learn
- Comfortable supporting people in their own homes
- Ideally drivers with access to a vehicle
- Able to travel reliably throughout the North East Dartmoor area
