We are seeking a skilled commercial Vehicle Engineer to join the MOT team at our Crawley depot, working a day shift pattern of 06:00am – 2:30pm. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our fleet of public service vehicles is maintained to the highest standards, meeting both company requirements and DVSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-MOT inspections, routine servicing, and vehicle repairs.
- Carry out quality control checks and prepare vehicles for annual testing.
- Complete all maintenance records, inspection reports, and stores documentation accurately.
- Follow company procedures and maintain full compliance with health and safety policies and industry regulations.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure workshop targets and fleet availability are achieved.
About You:
- Previous experience working on buses, coaches, or other large passenger vehicles is desirable; candidates with commercial vehicle experience will also be considered.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to workload and working practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards.
Pay: £23.78 per hour
