Job Purpose:
To assist the surveyors to undertake and deliver the valuation and commercial property consultancy requirements of the practice effectively and efficiently.
Specific Tasks
- To undertake sales & lettings assisting in all aspects of the marketing of commercial property including talking to interested parties, undertaking viewings and writing marketing particulars.
- To assist in undertaking valuations and preparing reports in accordance with recognised practice standards and maintain records for the recording of such valuations.
- To assist in negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews for commercial properties.
- To assist in the invoicing and collection of rents, service charges and other payments. recording all income and expenditure within a dedicated property management database.
- To assist in organising and monitoring building repairs and maintenance contracts on both a reactive and planned basis.
- To be able to communicate with clients, professional partners and members of the public both orally and in writing.
- To undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence and Continuing Professional Development with the aim of becoming a Chartered Surveyor.
- To comply with the RICS Code of Conduct.
- To comply with RICS Practice Statements & Guidance Notes.

Track record / Knowledge and Skills
- Experience of working in a Professional office environment preferred.
- RICS accredited Real Estate Degree or exempting MSc in Commercial Real Estate.
- Current Driving Licence & ideally use of your own reliable car for business purposes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Experience of undertaking internet based research and using web based applications.
- Confidence in the use of IT generally and experience with databases.
- Literacy & Numeracy to GCSE A-C pass standard.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
