An exciting opportunity to join Lyons Seafoods as our Responsible Sourcing & Supplier Assurance Manager, a key role within our Sustainability & Supplier Assurance team. Reporting to the Director of Sustainability & Supplier Assurance, you'll lead supplier assurance, responsible sourcing and sustainability activities across the Lyons and Farne supply base while managing a team of three colleagues.
What you'll do
- Lead supplier assurance, compliance and responsible sourcing activities.
- Manage supplier approval processes, audits and risk assessments.
- Drive ethical compliance and sustainability initiatives across the supply base.
- Lead VACCP activities and support TACCP requirements.
- Support ESG reporting, customer submissions and sustainability commitments.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage and develop a small specialist team.
- Drive continuous improvement across supplier assurance systems and processes.
What we're looking for
- Significant food industry experience in supplier assurance, technical compliance or sustainability.
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards and retailer requirements.
- Understanding of ethical trade, responsible sourcing and sustainability frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience leading and developing people.
- Relevant auditing, HACCP, VACCP/TACCP or related qualifications would be advantageous.
Pay: Up to £50,141.00 per year
