Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers engaged in the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various electrical systems, controls, and equipment. This involves planning the utilization of personnel, equipment, facilities, and materials on a regular basis to meet established deadlines and priorities set by higher-level supervisors. The role includes assigning work, providing technical direction and assistance, investigating work-related issues to improve efficiency, and administering performance management, including development plans and constructive feedback. Furthermore, the position is responsible for fostering a work environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and ensuring employee education and compliance with all security, safety, and health directives.
Qualifications and Key skills
· City & Guilds/ NVQ level 3 Award in the requirements electrical installations BS 7671 - 18th Edition Regulation
· City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Award in an appropriate discipline, i.e Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations City & Guilds 2391.
· A valid UK CAT B driving license.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of trade principles, craft techniques, and strict safety regulations, alongside a strong understanding of personnel management policies, including EEO and sexual harassment prevention. Technically, applicants must demonstrate expertise in electrical and electronic theory, utilizing standard testing instruments (e.g., multimeters, circuit analyzers, meggers) and maintaining common hand and power tools. The successful candidate will have the proven ability to independently interpret electrical drawings and blueprints to install, troubleshoot, and repair diverse electrical systems with minimal supervision. Furthermore, this role requires the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, plan, organize, and resource work assignments to ensure mission accomplishment.

1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. This position may also be coded as mission essential.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies. Overtime may be required and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Shift work may be required
5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing,
6. Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
7. A flight line driving license is also required and will be issued upon employment.
8. May work with hazardous materials such as asbestos or accumulated waste. Employee will be required to wear protective clothing and gear on these occasions.
9. Required to maintain appropriate certifications in accordance with US and UK industry standards.
