Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other heavy goods vehicles to deliver products to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan and follow optimal routes to meet delivery schedules efficiently.
- Secure cargo properly on flatbed trailers, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all trips undertaken.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during driving operations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with flatbed or similar heavy vehicle operation.
- Demonstrated ability to handle delivery routes efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance requirements for HGV drivers.
- Prior experience in delivery driver roles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Valid HGV license with relevant certifications for flatbed driving preferred.
