Job Introduction

The role
-
Lead and manage the Neighbourhood & Tenancy Team to professionally and compliantly deliver the Councils statutory housing services in accordance with the Acts of Housing, Localism, Leaseholders, Local Government, Anti-Social Behaviour Act, ASB Crime & Policing Act, Prevention of Social Housing Fraud, and other relevant legislation, policy and best practice.

Provide leadership and direction to ensure the development and implementation of projects, strategies and initiatives are delivered across the Housing Service.
- Lead the team to enable them to operate as key stakeholders in the communities they serve, and support all officers and systems in the delivery of housing services.
Key Requirements

Be responsible and accountable for working proactively and collaboratively with the service managers, team leaders, and all around you, deputizing where necessary to ensure your teams deliver a seamless technical and customer service under the legislative and regulatory framework, with a firm focus on sustainment, engagement and satisfaction, with eviction as a last resort.
- Be responsible and accountable for provision of positive and effective leadership and line management of your team in the delivery of consistently high quality, compliant and aspirational housing, tenancy, leaseholder, neighbourhood and garaging related services, with the highest degrees of integrity and professional standards.

Be responsible and accountable for the performance of the team, ensuring performance monitoring and reporting is transparent, regular and consistent, being outspoken on perceived risks or threats to the service, or on any emerging opportunities to improve what we do.
Skills & experience
-
A min level 3 qualification related to housing management and social housing practices
-
At least four years demonstrable experience of working in the provision of Housing Management / Landlord Services, with at least two of those years at managerial level.
