Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Male Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Support individuals with personal care needs in accordance with their care plans.
- Administer medication as directed and record all relevant information accurately.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Support with meal preparation and feeding where necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Help with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a secure environment for all.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community visits or transporting clients.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately.
- Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to listen attentively and respond compassionately.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A caring attitude, patience, and respect for individual differences are essential qualities for this role.
Pay: £12.21-£17.94 per hour
