Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a dedicated team of care professionals. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the care team to ensure the delivery of personalised, compassionate care in accordance with individual care plans.
- Oversee all aspects of care provision, including medication administration, dementia care, and specialised Alzheimer’s care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards governing senior and residential care settings.
- Develop, review, and update care plans tailored to each resident’s needs whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Manage staff recruitment, training programmes, performance appraisals, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Monitor operational budgets and optimise resource utilisation to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Lead quality assurance processes and implement improvements based on audits and resident feedback.
- Promote a positive organisational culture centred on dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
Experience
- Proven management experience within assisted living facilities, nursing homes or similar senior care environments.
- Extensive knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care practices.
- Demonstrable experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams within a Care Home or Home Care setting.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to medication administration and resident safety.
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Previous involvement in developing and implementing personalised care plans for elderly residents.
